It Starts With a Mom: Happy Mother’s Day 2021!
Stories of resilience begin with a meal — and so often, they begin with the person who prepares it.
We’ve spent the past week honoring the hard-working moms in communities we serve around the globe. Meal by meal, we help moms create bright futures for their families.
Some of our favorite #mealpower influencers shared how their most meaningful meals — and memories — start with a mom. Find their stories and recipes here!
But what does generational #mealpower look like at Rise Against Hunger? Rise Against Hunger meals nourish mothers and children together, empowering them to create their own memories of resilience, opportunity and hope.
Specifically, our Reaching Children’s Potential (RCP) program in Tanzania empowers moms from pregnancy until their child’s 18th birthday.
As a first-time mom, Rachel prepares Rise Against Hunger meals for two-year-old Denis and receives early childhood advice that neither she nor her own parents had access to before. By participating in the RCP, Rachel forges new foundations for health, hygiene and resilience. Learn more about Rachel and Denis here!
It starts with Rachel. It starts with a Mom.
It’s not too late to support moms worldwide! Help us grow the movement to end hunger by celebrating the importance of mom-power for nutrition, empowerment and bright futures.
